Fine sintered carbide burr with fine grit (red stripe) and cross-cutting grooves.
Cemented carbide, commonly referred to as "widia" from the German words "wie Diamant" - "like diamond," is a material produced from various metal carbides such as tungsten or titanium. Tungsten carbide, which is used to make burrs, exhibits impressive hardness, durability, wear resistance, and high-temperature resistance.
Characteristics of cemented carbide burrs:
Very hard and durable, resistant to mechanical damage.
They do not transfer heat and do not heat up.
They do not cause vibrations.
Thanks to the spiral arrangement of the teeth, they quickly remove material without heating the nail.
They work at low to medium speeds.
They do not require the use of softening agents for mass removal from nails.
They can be disinfected and sterilized.
They fit any available milling machine with a "twist and lock" head and a shank diameter of 2.32-2.35 mm.
Application of cemented carbide burrs:
Removal of hybrid polishes.
Shaping and removal of gel and acrylic mass.
Shaping of artificial nails.
Removal of nail calluses, cuticles, and heel calluses.
